EPDM Tiles: The Childproof Choice
Looking for a budget-friendly alternative to floor tiles without the risk of carbon black release? Choose our EPDM tiles.
The problem with SBR tiles: SBR tiles can turn black over time, a phenomenon that occurs as they age. With heavy use, the color of the tile can wear off, revealing the SBR rubber granules. Even though the tile retains its shock-absorbing qualities, this black residue can remain on children's hands and knees. This is especially problematic for young children who are crawling.
The solution: choose EPDM tiles to avoid this problem, especially in environments where small children play.
Installation & Maintenance:
- Run-up edges: for installation on already paved floors, we offer run-up edges in six basic colors.
- Bonding: tiles with an EPDM top layer must be bonded. Flexidal offers the appropriate tile adhesive for this purpose.
